2012 Happy New Year Folks! PDF Print E-mail

We would just like to thank all those who supported us through out 2011 and hope you will be with us through out 2012.

Now with a new year, we need new stats. we shall be resetting them after we have taken a backup for our own records and starting them off a new. Clearing out those people who have been sat in the top 5  for the last several months and giving the chance for everyone to start on a level playing field for the number 1 spot again.

Something for the minecraft roleplay folks. We have setup a server with a roleplay prison theme so have alooking at the minecraft section under the Games heading for more information. There are perks for donations too.

We have been saying it for a while now and have been rather slow on this but we do hope to bring the perks to Team Fortress 2 servers. We have a new project manager who hopefully will keep the project rolling.

So folks Thanks again for supporting us and lets have a fragging good 2012

With a likely Steam Christmas sale over the horizon I, like many, am about to once again extend my backlog of games I don't have time to play unless I get made redundant.  Until it hits, there's another Humble Indie Bundle (Humble Indie Bundle #4) on the market.  I'm getting a little worried that we're starting to get over-saturated with these bundles.  I've seen competing bundle sites springing up and that makes me a little sad.  I think the Humble Bundle chaps have this nailed and cloning the concept doesn't help.  Having said that, they've also brought out quite a few bundles this year so maybe it's their own fault!
Regardless, this is a bundle worth your time and I'll be grabbing it for the two games I don't already own on there.  The only name you really need to see is "Super Meat Boy" (87% Metacritic), but along with this you'll be getting the following:
- Gratuitous Space Battles (72% Metacritic)
- Cave Story+ (89% Metacritic for Cave Story)
- Jamestown (81% Metacritic)
- Bit.Trip Runner (76% Metacricit Wii score)
- Shank (67% Metacritic)
- NightSky HD (78% Metacritic)

Origin.  Right, now we've covered why I don't plan on getting into Battlefield 3, let's move on.
I, like many (some?  anyone else?  no?  ah well) of you, should return home tonight to find a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (http://astore.amazon.co.uk/uk-tf-21/search?node=17&keywords=modern+warfare+3&x=0&y=0&preview=) sitting on my doormat.  Unfortunately, I'm not going to have much time to play it this week thanks to work, social engagements and having to install a SSD before I play it.  The weekend is where it all begins and I'll be trying to get through the campaign as quickly as the repeated cutscenes of my character returning from unconsciousness will allow before I hit the multiplayer side of things.  Proper dedicated servers should be bringing an interesting twist this time around, although by all accounts these are unranked so you may have to put up with matchmaking lumbering you with irritating teenagers with no social graces.  I'll be trying to get my usual COD crowd out and about for the banter (and in some cases the cannon fodder).  Hopefully I'll see a few of you out there!
Cheers,

Humble Voxatron Bundle

Anyone else wake up with a post-halloween hangover this morning?  If you did I can recommend my own personal cure - trot over to http://www.humblebundle.com/ and get yourself a copy of The Humble Voxatron Debut.  This will snag you an alpha of Voxatron an all future updates.  Voxatron is a "voxel-based, old-school-gone-new platform shooter."

If you haven't bought a humble bundle before, it's worth keeping track of what they do.  When you buy through them you name your price for some fantastic indie games and can divide your cash between the developers and various charities.  They also do their best to get Steam keys for the various games you buy.

Anyway, hop on over there and get buying!

EDIT: The "Debut" has become a bundle, with Blocks That Matter and The Binding of Isaac now included if you purchase at higher than the average price!
